contractors/laborers..what's the funniest thign you've seen on the jobsite?

We were working at this guys house and we need to take down a load bearing wall that had a light switch in it. The house was really old because the wiring was hilarious....


yes hilarious...


tuirns out, the entire house was wired in series with that switch so when you unplugged it the entire house went down:laugh:


this was at night btw and we hadn't taken out the flashlight...


so me and my stepdad are standing in the dark, him with a bare copper wire in one hand and the light box in the other...


jsut imagine two guys lauighing their asses off in the dark, tripping all over miter boxes and jigsaws trying to find a flashlight:laugh:

I've seen D9 cats and large trackhoes stuck in mud.

I saw a deisel pickup truck try to cross a creek that was 6 feet deep. It hydrolocked so bad they couldn't get the glowplugs out with a six foot cheater bar.

I once ripped out some old cabinets, only to discover that the person who had installed them failed to make cutouts for the power outlets or phone jacks AND that he had left a bunch of his tools behind the toe kicks.

I found that laughable.

we came in to replace these other cntrs.

tell me this, who the HELL sands, dry/ducocks, and paints the bathroom BEFORE they put in the wall....


LOFL..they had to take it all down to put it in:laugh:


worse, ofr the cement base in the bathroom, they had some guy chisel it out like 1 foot deep..totally ruing it...and they hit the toilet train which cracked it....


what an awful mess....

at least in that case the homeowners are really nice and unserstanding:)


thsoe are the jobs that make us smile:)
