1. Are you bound by contract to finish the duration (I doubt it)?
2. Or you can just quit with 2 weeks notice
3. Or you can just quit even earlier since it's a contract job.

I'm assuming if you quit before completing the terms of the contract they don't have to pay you jack sh*t.

I would talk to a lawyer before you do. Otherwise you might find yourself being sued.

Court can be fun.

Did you know there is no official dress code? You can go dressed like a clown if you want!

Based on the job he is looking at, he would get paid weekly/bi-monthly.

Being in a At-Will state, there wouldn't be an issue.

Did you sign a contract to work there for a specific time?

Basically most states it is employment at will which cuts both ways. If the company where you are working on a contract would have no problem cutting you loose with no notice then you shouldn't have a problem. However just be aware that you will probably never be able to get another contract position with that company again if you walk out on them with no notice.

Do you intend to break the contract or leverage a declared option to end the contract? Your contract should have a clause that determines when it has been fulfilled. If the contract does not contain anything about early termination then you need to determine if your ending the contract breaks an expectation of "good faith", since all contracts are made on the premise of good faith.

Mine says I would owe millions if I left.

Interesting since I don't make millions.

Sounds like you suck at contract negotiation.
