I think it depends on how well they refurb it. I've had good luck with refurb Apple products, and the refurb Atrix I bought from AT&T was similarly just like new, but I'm really not sure how well CowBoom refurbs and tests their preowned products. Even though they are associated with Best Buy, I'd be worried that it'd be like getting an open box at Fry's.

Still the current deal ($150 for a no contract Droid X) isn't bad. Much better than the pre-owned RAZRs they are trying to sell for $230 no contract. They have some truly ancient phones that they haven't marked down accordingly.
