My last oil change was at 100k miles using synthetic. I'm baffle that the dealer uses dino oil unless i specifically ask for synthetic. With that said, should I continue to use synthetic now that my car is over 100k miles?

I thought that once you go synthetic, you shouldn't go back?

Everything I have read today says you can go back to using Dino Oil if you wanted too, but why?

Because if he is not extending his drain time he would be wasting money.
Most street cars will not get any extra benefit from syn. oil. "Dino" oil has come a long way and would be considered a premium high price oil compared to older standards.
