Hi,
I have been having trouble deciding. My current box is overheating it is in a crappy "Coolermaster Centurion case" I've had nothing but problems since my box has been in this case, these are the specs of my current box:
E6600
4GB DDR 667
eVGA 8800 GTS 640MB
250GB Seagate Sata drive
Intel D975BX (Bad Axe)
Vista Home Premium
I'm thinking about building a new machine, and then rebuilding/re-purposing my old machine)
I'm trying to figure out whether the new 1333MHZ fsb 6750 is just a "gimmick" or if that is going to be the 'new wave' of CPUs. I generally dont like buying a CPU when there is only one (or two) choices for motherboards. I generally have been very happy with the Intel "enthusiast/extreme" line of motherboards in the past but I noticed the 975BX2 doesnt support the new 1333MHZ fsb, I noticed that only the 'media' line of intel motherboards support the 1333MHZ fsb.
Should I wait to see how this new 1333MHZ thing plays out? or go ahead and buy one now?
any thoughts?
thanks!
