I've worn glasses for almost ten years now. I like them, but I'd like to get a pair of contacts soon.

I've been wearing glasses for about four years now. I miss being able to see/drive without them, but I cannot honestly see myself poking something directly onto my eye every morning/evening. Lasik I may consider when I'm older, but considering on how much my vision has changed over the past few years it probably isn't a good idea just yet. I may wait until I'm closer to 30.

I wear the same. They are great, last 6-7 weeks easily.

Both. They both suck so much, I use either depending on the situation. But when it all comes down: contact for dry eye and glasses for no peripheral vision... and smudgy-wudgy.

For me, my eyes started to get dried out while looking at a monitor so I had to switch back to glasses.

depends...if you're like me and find it impossible to put contacts in, then there isn't much choice.

Contacts by far. I seem to see better with them as well. Much easier to live with.

ever thought of doing lasik surgery? i have two gfs that just had it done - great results. neither needs glasses/contacts at all anymore.

Are you a lesbian? I ask because your avatar is a female, and you say you have girl friends?

I only have glasses and they haven't bothered me. At this point I think my face would look weird without them.

Although : I can function without glasses pretty well (including driving though I do wear them for it). I can use a computer without glasses. So I guess 75% glasses / 25% nothing for me, heh.

added a poll but can't see it?

Also which contacts do you think I should get? I'm leaning towards the ones you can wear for 6 months and don't need to worry about them till then.

I have a stylish pair of glasses. I get compliments on them from time to time. As long as you have a pair of glasses that suit you, they can be a nice accessory.

I can't be bothered to deal with the hassle or expense of contacts, and there's no way I'm getting eye surgery.

I think I may have astigmatism; card apparently says
R -2.0 CYL - AXIS -
L -2.25 CYL -0.25 Axis 60

Base curve 8.6
DIA/M 14.0
R.E -2.0
L.E -2.25

Does this limit my choices in lenses?
