Doctor gave me contacts to try out the prescription before he wrote it out and I was having trouble with blurry vision. So I went back and he gave me a stronger lense for my right eye.
But it is still blurry. Should they be the same for contacts and glasses? For my glasses it says OD -550 and OS -450 and for the contacts it says OD -500 and OS -400. Shouldnt it be the same?

I believe prescriptions for glasses & contacts are different, but I could be wrong.

Go back to the Dr. Tell him that it is still blurry. He will know what to do. It could be the brand or the shape or one of many reasons. It might just be you need to get used to it but regardless he does this for a living. If you don't like him, go to a new one.

do you have an astigmatism?

my right eye has a bit of astigmatism in it, so that images out of my right eye are blurry, but in a weird way. the left one is corrected to much better than 20/20 though, so it isn't a problem. actually the right is around 20/20, so the only way i can tell its outta whack is by comparing it to the left.

anyway, if you have an astigmatism, it's corrected for in glasses, but unless you've been prescribed torric contacts, it isn't corrected for. torrics correct astimatism. torrics are weighted so that they align themselves properly after you blink. it's been described as the world rotating back into focus after blinking.

I think I would go somewhere else to get my eyes looked at. Its not trial and error. I have seen them give out trials that were not the exact power you would be getting but he should have told you that.
