"contactless" credit cards

Wow; when you think of all the computations and labor that went into designing that, the quote from an exchange student always come sup in my head:

"Americans work so hard to be so lazy".

More like Americans want to get common tasks done even quicker so they can work more. More work = more $$ for all the sweet things available for Americans to buy.

waving a card would save that much more time than swiping?

Oh thank CHRIST for this. I swear one of the worst things ON THE PLANET is having to actually direct my card into that tiny slot and swipe it. I've lost three fingers doing it, two years off my life, and about $65k. This is truly the best, most useful invention ever. THIS IS SO SWEET!!!

But what if a person has multiple CCs like that, then could it be possible to charge all of them or something? Seems rather unsecure, I mean what if someone somehow got the reader and was able to walk around capturing people's data...

I had an idea like this a while ago. This is the beginning of a phasing out of paper money (which won't happen, but things like this make it a lot more possible)
