Contacting old recruiter for new job after getting full time with first one?

I got a job through a temp agency in 2008. I got hired full time after about a year and now I want to find a new job in a better location (trenton = dump).

Is it a horrible idea to contact my old temp agency while I still have the first job they got for me? They'd prob contact my current company about a possible opening right...
 
If you were working with a recruiter they are not going to care as long as you stayed there long enough so they could get their bonus. I don't see why not.
