I wear soft contact lenses, Acuvue2 to be exact. My eyes were getting blurry after a few minutes of reading my monitor. I went to the eye doc and he said my eyes are getting dry. I can either get glasses, which I don't mind, or to try this eye rewetting drops. They're called Blink and made by AMO Eyecare.

They are amazing. They work wonders. Two drops into each eye about every hour and I have no problem with blurriness anymore. It is simply amazing and they can lubricate my eyes this well.

Does anyone else use this brand?

I tried the Bausch and Laumb rewetting drops and those don't work for jack squat.

I've never had a problem with dry eyes with my contacts.

Eye infections, on the other hand..... :|

If using "no rub" solution then try good ol' peroxide instead. No preservatives and cleaner lenses definitely result in being more comfortable for longer (or rather less less comfortable). Could also try a more breathable lens like Oasys, O2 Optix, Night & Day, &c.

Yeah, good advice. I switched to a hydrogen peroxide based solution recently, and the contacts are much easier to get on in the morning.

For rewetting, I'm also using the Blink n' Clean by AMO, and it's excellent. Although, all rewetting drops feel just as good to me. I get the cheapest of the major brands, which is usually the AMO stuff (formerly Complete).

I use the peroxide "don't get in your eyes for at least six hours" stuff too, really cleans those suckers.

Drops, out right now but I need some. When I take my contacts out at night they are bone dry, but they aren't uncomfortable... which is strange. (I usually only wear them for about 6-8 hours a day, and not every day.)

I feel like an idjit for switching to and staying with an AIO no-rub solution for so long. Sure, it seemed convenient but lenses were more irritating and could even sting when putting them in tired eyes. Somehow I didn't notice the stark difference early on and then came to accept it as normal.

Usually mine don't get so dry but it has happened. Try rinsing your eyes with sterile saline solution and waiting a mo' before removing -especially if they tend to stick. In that case, drops are a bit of a waste. I rinse 'em with saline rather than just inserting straight out of the neutralized HP anyway.

To help minimize or prevent dry eyes, try drinking lots of water of course and also making sure to get enough Omega-3. The former did not help me (guess I was not deficient) but supplements of the latter has made a difference methinks.

I soak my contacts in sweet creamery butter.

Have you tried "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter"? If you like it for your contacts, you'll love it for your engine. It also makes a great body lotion, grout and laundry freshener.
