Several months ago Boush and Lomb recalled Renu, because a batch was giving people eye infections. Stuff being sold now should be fine. That said I use Opti-Free.

the recalled renu was the version with moisture loc. the ones now are fine. both opti-free and renu are good solutions...whichever one feels comfortable and doesn't cause irritation should be fine.

Nope there were 117 cases in the US, and it took them close to a year to pull it from the shelves(which is why there are a bunch of lawsuits). They no longer sell the product, so it really wasnt a bad batch, just a bad product. It was ReNu with MoistureLoc.

My wife gets me Aquify and it works great. I used to use Opti-Free, but we get Aquify for a lot cheaper and it works just as well.

Don't get renu. It has been proven to cause blindness because it contains bleach.

i love opti-free express (replenish?). on someone's recommendation (awhile ago), i switched to that infamous renu w/ moisturloc. in a game of good idea/bad idea, this would most definitely be BAAAAAAAAAAAD IDEA.

now i use Complete somethingsomething. Contacts feel great and they're a bit cheaper than the optifree express; twin pack for ~$12.00

i seriously doubt the FDA would allow that.
