I currently wear Acuvue 2's. It's been a year so it's time for me to get new lenses. I want to try the new Acuvue Advance's but I don't know whether they can be substituted for the 2's. I know regular Acuvue's and Acuvue 2's don't mix. On the 1800CONTACTS website, it states, "Acuvue 2 lenses cannot be substituted for Acuvue lenses. The Acuvue 2 lens is made of the same material as the Acuvue lens, but comes in different parameters." However it makes no mention of Acuvue 2's and Acuvue Advances. Does anyone have any information?

Anytime you switch contact lenses brands, you have to be fitted for them, so basically you need a new contact lense exam. You can however, get the same contact lenses you currently wear but like different power/color without having to get a reexamination.

Also your contact prescription is one year old so it's expired already. Glasses prescriptions last two years, contacts only one.
