I'm wearing my regualr non-colored contact lenses and for some reason it isn't amplifying my vision through one contact. It was yesterday and I left it soaking in the solution overnight so I don't understand why it isn't doing it's job today. These are the regular two week disposable Acuvue contact lenses. Only one side is doing this. What can you recommend for me to do to make it better? I'm at work and can't leave for another few hours to go home and get it changed out. Thanks in advance.

go into the bathroom and pull it out and rinse out your eye, then put it back in

Mixed up left and right? Different prescriptions?
2 on one eye?

It isn't my eye. I tried switching the contacts from one eye to the other and it did the same thing. Yes it is two different prescriptions but like I said I switched eyes and it was the same exact thing.

Hmm there's no way it could be over your eye but not affect the vision. You don't feel it sliding around or have any discomfort? You can see it in the mirror in perfect position, but for some reason it doesn't affect your vision, good or bad?

sometimes i'll get a layer of eye snot on the contact. only way to get rid of it really is to clean them off. you don't have any solution at your desk do you? ask around and see if you can find some

Clean it again?

That makes no sense. Unless your optometrist royally FUBARed.

Well it did work yesterday. I think its weird if there is no discomfort, and the lens is in, and yet the vision is exactly the same. Even if you wore glasses, and replaced your lens with a piece of plastic, it would still look different than if u weren't wearing glasses.

It's not inside out as I checked that. I tried rubbing it with the solution (I do have some here) but it just won't work. I think I have to get a new one. It sucks though because I just bought this set and it's already FUBAR.

It actually makes my vision a little better but not a lot.

I tried switching eyes, it didn't help. I'm going to go home on lunch (a one hour drive) to get a fresh new pair along with my books I need to study for my psy and math final.

When my lenses is inside out I can feel it moving around in my eye and it usually feels as if something is in my eye. My contacts are just FUBAR.

Are these hard contacts or soft? If they're disposable by any means, just chuck it and go for the next pair.

They're disposable but the thing is I just bought these not even two weeks ago!

Actually mine do that sometimes too if my eyes are dry or tired. And what do you mean you switched it and the same thing happend. Your left eye always has problems for example or the one contact always has problems no matter what eye it is in? But anyway that sucks but just go out and splurge to buy the new one for 3 1/2 bucks and then wear it for a month instead, no biggie.
