Consumption of fish worldwide

By volume? Probably the US....just like everything else.

No way. We have far to much beef, pork, and poultry available for cheap vs other countries.

Your average American probably eats fish once or twice a week...if that(not counting Lent). Some countries probably consume seafood once or twice a day.

Granted we do have a large population, but we also have far more choices available that we choose to eat over seafood.

Hmm, I tried searching but it didn't really show up. Yes, by total volume consumption. Per capita would help also. I am thinking that Europeans may eat more fish than other parts. Could be wrong though.

Per capita is definitely Japan. By volume, China and the US, most likely.

EDIT: I'm talking seafood as a whole here, it's pretty difficult to break it down just into "fish."

Per capital? Probably Iceland. By volume? No clue.

Just in case its not a typo...FYI, the word is capita, not capital. "Per capita" is a latin phrase that means "for each head" so its used in statistics where we talk about something divided by number of people.
