Remember, this is not P&N, so treat this thread as a corporate policy rather than a law. If your company or employer has existing policies that might comply, fine, let's see 'em.

Yes, I realize this is a consumer based wish list and som p0anies would not willingly agree with many points.

1. Retention. ALL transactions and documents are to be retained in digital form for the lifetime of the member/customer's account and the customer must have access at no charge. (Too many companies limit to 18 months for example and/or charge for older data.)

2. Privacy. At no time will any personally identifiable customer information be shared or released in any way to any other company without explicit prior approval from the customer.

3. Legal Privacy. Unless the customer or an immediate family member is under investigation, NO account information will be shared with Public Safety without express prior approval from the customer. If the customer IS under investigation, a court order must be obtained. (See the Ring thread).

4. Accounts transfers. NO customer account may be transferred or sold to any other company without the customer's express approval. If the entire company is being liquidated or sold, each customer must be given sufficient advance notice to allow them to seek other options if they choose. (Banks have a habit of offloading some loans and mortgages to less than desirable servicers.)

Yes, I have more to come when I can remember them again
