Consulting or fulltime?

Anyone have a website about benefits of either one? I got an LLC already set up - and debating tween 2 offers...

$700 a day as consultant or 110K a year...

the fulltime gig also has some mystery bonus (10-20%) which they arent divulging...

consulting = higher pay if you're in the job all the time, which many times you won't be.

fulltime = job security at a really nice salary. Plus medical/health/dental benefits. Plus 401k. Plus stock options. Plus other benefits.

Go fulltime, it's where you want to be.

Hey, a wizard just popped up in front of me and gave me 1 wish, whatever I want.

Should I take 1)all the money in the world, or 2) all the power in the world?

Edit- I just spent the wish asking for this pathetic thread to go away.

Some basic math... assuming 5 days a week on the consulting job, that's only $178k. Now factor in the benefits of the fulltime job (insurance, retirement, lots 'o shite). Now remember cunsultants are never on the job 5 days a week for the full year. Let's say you're on 4 days a week and spend an average of 1 day a week visiting with potential employers: knock that down to $115k / year and still no benefits. Plus no job security.

Take the fulltime.

Hmmm.

Well consulting gig is extremely stable, also i think I can expense my travel commute + meals + etc.

The salary position gives full benefits - health, 401 matching to 6%, etc...

Hard to decide..

anyone have linky to websites explaining this stuff?
