Your comment I choice G3220(1150) with H81 motherboard with 8gb ram.
Or I choice I3-3220(1155) with H61 motherboard with 4gb ram.(Previous generation)

Depends if you need 8GB of Ram or not. If the software you are using doesn't exceed a GB then you aren't in any need of more ram so the i3 should be a bit quicker (I haven't looked into these two skus however)

OP, what's the spec of your current computer and how well is it handling the accounting workload you give it (as well as general usage)?

If you are doing accounting and day to day internet, then the i3 with 4GB is probably your best option.

The i3 is more feature-complete, and the G3220 has the extra features such as hyperthreading and the new instructions turned off. The i3-3220 also has a higher clock speed; the architecture of the G3220 is only 10% faster at the same clock speed, at best, and in most scenarios it isn't even that much better. Thus, the 300 Mhz advantage and Hyperthreading on the i3-3220 will make it faster than the G3220.

You will not likely need 8GB of RAM for web browsing, document editing or accounting software. Only for things like videogaming; image, video and music editing. 4GB will likely be sufficient. I agree with the other posters' conclusion that the i3-3220 and 4GB machine will be superior all else being equal

The i3-3220 isn't the latest generation anyway, it's the previous generation. OP ought to be looking at i3-43xx processors to compare to Pentium G3xxx processors as they're both the same (latest) generation.
