The Guardian reports that the U.S. is going along with a U.N resolution that would get an Iraqi constitution and elections by December 15. 10/13/03. No time to do it right, always time to do it over. Guardian Article.

Who cares what the UN says. They shouldn't have any say in Iraq anyway. They pi**ed on us when we wanted to go in there, now they want to tell us what to do when we're there? The UN is just a political organization with no real interest in peace. All they care about are their own adjendas.

That sounds like a bad idea. I mean, local elections may be fine, but as far as regional/national elections, its far too soon. And whatever happened to giving the council at least six months to draft a constitution? There was an article about that a while ago. This is one time we shouldnt listen to the UN. It will only make things in Iraq worse. If youre gonna do something like this, its much much better to do it right the first time, otherwise we'll have to start all over again.

Shouldn't even be on the table as long as Saddam is still running around out there...
