Constant reboot

Hey guys... I have a problem.

I got a new CPU, RAM, and mobo recently. I swapped them out and they all worked perfectly for a day. Now I got a new hard drive from Fry's and I installed Windows XP on it with SP2 already slipstreamed. I transferred the old hard drive files to my new hard drive, took out the old one, booted back up. Still worked, so now I just needed to get the latest updates. I downloaded SP3 (manually, not through Windows Update) and installed it. It asked me to reboot and I hit "OK". It rebooted, got to the BIOS screen... then just rebooted again. It won't get past that, I can't boot to a CD, the BIOS won't respond the keyboard so I can't get into it.

I tried resetting the CMOS, but no dice. I can't think of what else to do. At first, I thought it was SP3, but now I'm thinking it's the motherboard because if it was the OS, it'd at least get to the spot where I could pick to boot to safe mode or boot to a CD, right?

Mobo: GA-EP45-DS3L
CPU: Intel C2D E8400

Hopefully someone can advise me.

edit: By the way, before I got the new hard drive, I flashed the mobo to the latest BIOS, F8.

Heyyo, found out what it was. For some odd reason, it kept trying to boot to my external HDD. Disconnected it... wallah, it boots perfect.

Anyone know what I can do to fix that?

Go into your bios and make sure to turn off any feature relating to booting from an exsternal drive or USB devise. Also make sure that the primamry boot is pointed at your HDD.
