Constant hiccuping

I've been hiccuping all day today - what can I do to stop it?

Of course, I can google it, and the ol' big gulp of water and other, 'generic' remedies', if you will, I'm aware of. What are the more unorthodox, legitamate, solution? Yes, if I DIAF it would certainly kill my hiccups, but it's not quite something I had in mind. 😛

I believe there is a guy who has the record for the most hiccups in the world... like he stopped his hiccups after 47 years or something...

Anyways, drink some water or hold your breath. That usually works. If not, just wait... time is key. Patience.

Make sure you don't have a drunk uncle around with a gun.

He might try to scare you and accidentally shoot you then freak out and shoot himself. 😛

I think I'd shoot myself

Drink at least 6 oz. of water thru a straw while plugging both of your ears with your fingers. Yes, it is strange and I don't know how or why but it does work. I've been doing that little trick for years and it works every time.

That MUST be a mistake! You're running 6.8 on a Mark VIII? You should never be above 4.8! You should check your 20mV loops for overload particularly the starboard cavitation transducers A214, and A215. Check pp 1287 which is ch 138 in your manuals! If that bias is really that high people should be hearing or feeling it. I can way before 5 and that is considered dangerous. I'm not trying to scare you or anything but honestly I would be scared of that.

Um, wrong thread?

Anyhow, I'm done hiccuping now.

And what are you smoking, lady? 😕

Glad to hear your problem has abated! 🙂

Oh and yes I don't smoke. It's a disgusting habit.
