constant error message in router log

I changed to a d-link DI-514 router and the router log frequently (5-10 times every minute) is logging the following error:

dhcpc_input: pLeaseId NULL

Besides that it works fine but I would like to stop the error. After messing with it quite a bit I have narrowed it down that it is related to the wan dhcp to my cable modem provider which is Charter.

I called d-link support and they told me as long as it connects to the internet they will not assist with anything else.

Any ideas or help are welcomed.
