Constant crashes/lock up's in games...

Hey guys, I have formatted my system about 7 times in the last 2 days. I originally got a bios update and oc'd my system a bit more, which resulted in some really unstable stuff. I have now went back to my old bios 1008, and my old OC config and everything seems to be fine and working. The case isent so with games though.

I have installed wc3 and played it online, only for it to crash and lock up my whole system in a few minutes. During gameplay, the game will freeze and then suddenly resume every now and then. I have no idea whats causing this, but I am thinking the video card...just a guess.

Prior to my playing around, my system was rock solid stable, no problems at all. Everything seems to be fine now except for games locking up. Any ideas? My friend is saying its a memory leak, the ram is just getting filled up and crashing the system, could that be possible? Why would it happen now though when it did not before?

Suggestions please...

My setup btw is

Stupid question, but you have tried running everything in your computer at stock speeds right?

If not, do it then report back. 🙂

Yes I have, no difference...and my overclock is stable...I ran prime 95 for like 40 minutes perfectly fine...its the same overclock I had prior to the bios update where my system was 100 % rock solid stable....

Hmmm... not sure if it's a heat issue. Get NVmonitor and tell it to create a log file of temps as you play a game. When you crash, restart, open the log file, and see if the last temp that it managed to get is hot.

Tried different drivers? Omega drivers?

IMHO, that isn't anywhere near long enough to confirm a stable OC. Try overnight at least. I usually go 12-24hrs.

EDIT: can it make it through a pass of 3Dmark05?
