Got a problem in that I'm constantly getting blisters on my big toe and ball of my feet (right where the big toe connects to the ball of the foot) when I play high impact sports (flag football, racquetball, basketball, etc...). I wear a different type of shoe for each activity, so I dont think its the shoes. It's been a chronic problem for me over the years, and I've just kind of dealt with it.

I've tried different types of socks, varying degrees of shoe tightness and sizes; neither with any success. I've also tried taping up the hot spots, but the tape usually ends up falling off or bunching up uncomfortably. I think I may have overly sweaty feet, which may contribute...

I'm running out of ideas on how to prevent this from happening, has anyone dealt with this before?

I think you may be onto something with the sweaty feet -- I only get blisters when my shoes/socks are wet. Unfortunately I don't know how to stop it :(

In my basketball life:
Running shoes tied tight do nothing for blisters. Actually basketballs shoes tied tight prevent blisters.

What kind of shoes do you have on?

I have done well with "cross training" shoes also. Running shoes are only good for straight ahead running.
