Conspiracy theory about the Verizon iPhone rumors

I was thinking, with all the rumors flying around about a Verizon iPhone, that maybe Apple is just starting these rumors to stop people from buying Androids in hopes that they will get their mythical CDMA iPhone sometime in the next year.

I'm sure all the iPhone fans will rush in here and flame me to death, but I think its a good theory :twisted:

i think many people pointed out how dumb the CDMA iPhone is given LTE is just around the corner, so this might be a possible reason.

While I tend to believe a CDMA iPhone isn't the best direction, it may still be true.

Apple will never admit it, but yeah, also the web traffic article was part of the reason too.

Most corporations that can pull off that kind of stuff do it all the time

And I'm as much an Apple fan as anyone

They have someone that's actually designated to provide the info to certain people. Apple is particularly anal about this stuff

I would think it would work against them - to encourage people not to go to AT&T to get an iPhone if one is coming out on Verizon, lol. I had the iPhone 2G, 3G, then 3GS, and AT&T's service got so bad in my area that I cancelled a few months ago. I miss the phone terribly, but I'm not going back until either AT&T fixes their service or Verizon picks it up. LTE would be super hot.
