I was wondering if there was any specific place or brand that's good for buying the converters that allow you to use PS2/N64/GameCube/Xbox/DC (preferably more than one) controllers on PC through the USB port. What kind of stores have it? I checked EB and they didn't have any. If you recommend an online store I need it to be in Canada because it's usually a big hassle or expensive to ship from the US to here.

Thanks bunches... comments/experiences are also very welcome.

search in General Hardware, I've seen threads on this a few times there in the last 6-9 months.

Or get that Logitech clone of the PS Dual Shock.

Level Six.com They sell all kinds of console to USB adapters. I prefer the EMS 2 (2 player PSX->USB adapter). I also bought their N64/PSX adapter (they say that the N64 isn't a guaranteed to work though, but it works fine for me, just need to recalibrate it everynow and then)

Have you noticed any wearing down in the gamepad, especially in the joysticks? I see a recurring theme in the customer reviews that report the left joystick breaking easily under lots of use.

I got a PlayStation to USB converter from Radio Shack for $10. The guy there had absolutely no idea what it did, or that they even had them.

The Adaptoid requires no calibration, and supports the Rumble Pak, Microphone Pak (with supported N64 Emulators), and has direct API allowing software to communicate directily with it as an N64 controller, not as some converted PC controller.

I got the EMS converter from level six and its a little flakey at times, but unplugging it and replugging it will eventually make it work lol. Works okay for 10-15 bucks, use it for my DDR pad and for playing my psx emu.

Radioshack sells a PS1/2 dual shock adapter to usb for < $10, it works wonderful, supports the vibration function, and most importantly, there is NO LAG AT ALL. Most all controller adapters have some sort of lag in them, this one doesn't. Also, the adaptoid listed above has no lag either, it's a modern marvel, although it's more expensive.
