It's been over 3 years since the last Fight Night. It's looking really good. Let's hope this one doesn't disappoint.

I'm strangely intrigued by Transformers for some reason. Didn't play the last one, so this might be a rental.

It was piss poor.

I was quite excited about Fight Night until I tried the demo. I prefer round 3 in nearly every way. There's a point where the game works well enough that when you change too much you end up taking steps backwards, which IMO is what happened.

Damn that sucks. I haven't tried the demo yet. I guess I need to.

Might as well. Don't just take my opinion at least as I've heard opinions on both sides. Some folks I've read enjoy the new controls and added realism. Some, including me, think the controls are a lot more clunky now and regardless of increased realism, the game is less fun.

I immediately lost interest in FNR4 as soon as I saw that the game uses Skate's controls (gestures with the right analog stick).

Bring on Point Lookout!

And "Fallout 3: Point Lookout (DLC Code sold at retail)" doesn't mean that you can only buy the code at retail, right? It will be available on Live? And it's coming out tomorrow, right? :p

Yep. You can either buy a DLC code at retail or you can just purchase it straight from Live with MS Points.

I'll be picking up Overlord 2 for sure and Point Lookout. I want to get Fight Night, despite it not living up to the expectations I had for it. I think it could have been better, but it's still a good game.

Well that's kind of what round 3 did, but it was more fluid than this one. I loved round 3's controls and was looking forward to more w/ 4 but it just doesn't feel right.

AFAIK every Fight Night has used the right stick for punches but with the option to use regular buttons.

Yep, well 3 worked that way at least and the analog punching suuuuucked.

Is it still an option to use buttons in 4 ? If not, I'm going to give this one a pass.

FNR4 doesn't let you use the face buttons, thus my point. I will still give the demo a shot at some point but I'm not thrilled about the controls.

Oh that must suck for some people. My friends and I always use the sticks. It takes more skill and it's more fun when you get a knockdown.
