I come from the land of PC fps games

i recently purchased a ps3, and found out that the ps3 has mouse support for at least one title that i have played, Unreal 3

are there anymore titles that do support Mouse/Keyboard?
such as maybe CNC3

I believe Unreal Tournament is the only one that has built-in keyboard and mouse support on the PS3. The rest require an adapter (like a XFPS) like the 360 does. No KB/M support at all for the Wii.

Try the local cuisine. You might like it.

why?? if im given the ability to do something, then why not give it a try. why cripple myself if others are doing much better while using KB/Mouse

You know, when I went to Italy, France and Spain, the best pizza I had was at a McDonald's in Nice. Of course that was the only place that had New York style pizza.

Of course not. It's degenerating into a thread about pizza.

I'm a fan of the NY style, but authentic fork + knife pizza from Italy is insane.

Doubtful, considering mouse/keyboard is vastly superior for realistic aiming and control.

Don't start that shit here man.

The adapter for the 360 is pretty damned expensive unfortunately, and doesn't reproduce a KB+M experience like you'd expect.

Sorry, but no one should be using a KB/M on a console. The games are written to compensate for innacurate aiming.

Likewise with a PC, only game you should be using a gamepad with are driving/flight sim/ sport games, and even that is questionable.

My warning wasn't directed at your perfectly valid question. It was directed at the responses.

 If you've ever fired a gun, you wouldn't call keyboard/mouse more realistic. More precise, for sure.

Check out the XIM, which is used in conjunction with an XFPS.

Or the XIM2 / XIM360 (upgraded XIM), which is out but hard to get a hold of right now.

I don't have an XIM2 yet, but even the XIM1 is miles above using just an XFPS by itself, and most FPS games work pretty well with it. For instance, i'm playing through Battlefield bad company and the movement and aiming react almost exactly like a normal computer FPS would. Pretty sweet it you ask me.

Consoles are built to a standard right? The same official support for certain peripherals ensure a level playing field.

I'm not sure why you'd want to disrupt that. If you want to play an FPS with a keyboard/mouse, your PC is *right* over there.
