PSP Brick Trojan poses as a utility that allows gamers to run homebrew apps or pirated games

the code will remove important system files from the flash which makes the system unbootable or a brick

The Trojan can't be executed by accident. PSP users will only get infected if they attempt to modify or patch their device with malicious code

Serves 'em right if you ask me.

Shame on the end user for wanting to be able to execute non-Sony sanctioned code on their device that they own.

1) It's a trojan, not a virus, so it doesn't have any self-replicating features.

2) You're the one that has to run it, no one else can destroy your PSP for you.

Shame on the end user for wanting to be able to execute illicit and/or otherwise pirated non-Sony sanctioned code on their device that they own.

It's not as though the only use is for pirating games. Now I'm going to give you a  AND a :cookie: :p

Of course, how stupid of me.. Because the last time I checked 3rd party developers were jumping through their a$$es writing ports of MS Word and Excel for the PSP. My God, where would I be without you to keep me straight. Thank you... Thank you... You're a true friend, a scholar, and a gentleman.

lol Sony probably made this virus.
That was my first thought .
That's what I was thinking also :D. If you have a PSP, don't work around what it's supposed to do, and you'll be fine.

You'd be lost in a world of darkness, I am the beacon of wisdom to guide you to the shores of enlightenment and sarcasm. So there.

And just think.... Cars are more computerized than ever these days. Plus they are also getting infared and bluetooth interfaces to the main computer.

"Sorry but I'm not going to be able to come into work today. My car caught a virus!"
