Console Game Releases for week of 11/16

The glut of console releases for the holidays is coming to a head with only one release day left after this prior to Black Friday. This is getting ridiculous with the number of games that are getting released. Are publishers honestly expecting for their games to sell well when there are dozens of games to compete against?

I'm getting Tomb Raider Underworld on the pc for sure. I already preorderd Left 4 Dead pc. I thought about Last Remnant for 40 bucks at Amazon but I think I'll wait until I can find it for cheap early next year. I still have Tales of Vesperia on the shelf.

I'm crossing my fingers for Sonic Unleashed (360/PS3). The game looks nice, it seems to have the spirit of the genesis sonic's from the videos I've seen (except for those awful Were-Sonic) sequences) but I've been disappointed by every 3D Sonic game so my expectations are low.

I was disappointed by Left 4 dead so I'll hold off for awhile and see what the hype is all about.

I think I'll get lips for the wife.

I liked the first 360 Naruto but still haven't finished it so I'll wait for the 2nd one to price drop and finish the first.

Love me some rpg but Last Remnant is getting bad reviews.

i just played the L4D demo and wow, that game is going to be a TON of fun with a couple friends.

Dude, it's Superman. You can't beat Superman.

But seriously, I haven't seen anything like that online yet. I actually do play Superman, and I was slapping around people, but it wasn't cheap. No infinite combo. Green Lantern is fun to play too.

I was looking forward to see what Shaun White Snowboarding was going to give us, but the review up on Gamespot effectively kills it for me. I'm disappointed as the concept was appealing to me (I'm a two-planker, for the record).

Oh well, I just saved $65.

I bought Lips for my wife and we returned it after playing 5 minutes. When they release Lips2 it will have potential if they fix some of the bugs.

For instance, you cannot mute out the singer of the song. There are some volume options, but they do not do much. The singer of the track will always mute you out. We were hoping the mic would amplify voice, but it did not. You can hum the notes and it will be the same as singing.

We bought this thinking it would be similar to a karaoke machine, but it is not even close. If MS fixes these annoyances this could be a great game for parties

That's a problem common in all the singing games. I was able to do that with Karaoke Revolution for the Xbox and you supposedly can do the same with SingStar for the PS2/PS3.

I've been looking forward to it also. Judging from what I've seen from the reviews, if you can look past the technical issues, it is a good JPRG.
