Question Considering the Dell/Alienware AW3423DWF 34"

This is the FreeSync version. It would replace my existing monitor in my sig below, an LG 34" IPS monitor at 144hz. The LG recently developed horizontal banding and an accompanying noise, apparently it's a know issue with a ribbon cable and I don't feel like spending a couple hundred dollars to send an almost 4 year old monitor in for repair.

The concern with the Alienware is burn-in as it's an OLED, I suppose I could learn to turn my monitor off or have it go into sleep more often. Secondly, it's available at Best Buy near me, but then supposedly Dell won't honor the 3 year pixel/burn in if any issues come up? It's the same price at Dell.com as Best Buy, and would get here in a week However I want to play with it today lol.

Best Buy shows
Manufacturer's Warranty - Parts
Limited warranty - 3 years - response time: next business day
Manufacturer's Warranty - Labor
Limited warranty - 3 years - response time: next business day

I would call BB and see what they say about burn in.

I ended up getting it from Best Buy. I had rewards accrued that got me the 4 year "plan" from them for free basically. Looking forward to playing with it later after dark, the sun comes right in my window right now. It's not a stunning difference from my old LG honestly, it iss et to 165hz but 8 bit color, I'll have to research a bit and see if I can lower that in Windows back to 10 bit color cuz right now I only see a 60hz and 100hz option.

It's pretty vibrant, I am not impressed with the whites, they look a bit yellow to me, almost like wearing blue blocking glasses, but I have not had time to tweak it yet. It is smooth as butter though, and text in Windows doesn 't look bad as I've seen some complaints.
