Considering going with Lian Li and a watercooling build in July

I keep looking at Lian Li cases, and none of them seem to have any room for top or back-mounting radiators. A few have holes in various places for running pipe through the case, but that seems to be for external radiators. If possible, I prefer cases with room to top-mount 3x120 rads, which I think offer multiple benefits.

I also can't help but notice that many of their cases come with 1-3 intake fans mounted, but usually only 1 exhaust fan. When building, I think it's key for the volume of air exhausted > the amount coming in, to create negative pressure and make sure the hot air is being sucked out instead of hanging around the case. This is also the reason I don't like mounting radiators on the inside, blowing up into the case.

So...does everyone who WCs with a Lian LI case use external radiators, or just mount them internally? I'm looking specifically at the V and A7 series. The Armorsuit has some nice features, but is just a little too "blue" for me right now...

We're not going to start up the positive pressure versus negative pressure debate again, it doesn't go well.

That being said, to be the most efficient possible you're going to want to have your radiator directly behind a set of intake fans. With that in mind, I'll probably be purchasing a PC-A77B soon.

I missed that debate. Is there a highlights reel somewhere?

Why would I want the rads behind the intakes? Isn't that just sucking the hot air into my case?

I am looking at the Armorsuit p80, V2110, or A7110. My primary concern is silence, followed by performance.

I'll be cooling a q9450 or 9550 and a 4870 in a single loop.

There's no highlight real or cliffs notes anywhere, it's taken place about a half dozen times since i've been a member and never gets anywhere beyond personal preference. The output air from the radiator should never be more than a couple degrees above ambient so it won't make a major impact, especially in a fully water cooled system.

If silence is your primary concern then the P80 shouldn't be on the list.

Out of the remaining two I would probably get the A7110. It's the silent series brother to the A70/A71 which basically just means it has a front door. For a silent water rig in the A7110 I would mount hard drives up front, the power supply at the top and the radiator at the bottom with some ~1" feet to keep the case off the floor.

Just out of curiousity, why not the v2110? And is there anything else in their lineup I should be looking at?

The v2110 looks solid... I say you give it a shot and let us know how it turns out :)

Of course there is always the Rocketfish (by LL). Click the link to my FS/T thread in the sig below.

Thanks Zep, but isn't the Rocketfish a Micro-atx?

I'm looking at possibly running a crossfire setup, with watercooling, for as low a temperature and sound level as I can manage cost-effectively. I don't think Micro is the way to go. Besides, I'm 6'2, and homeboy needs some elbow room.
