You are buying a mac... therefore, you cannot be concerned about performance. 😀

Which macbook?

What video card does it come with?

What CPU?

How much RAM and how fast?

WE NEED MORE INFO!

Having said all that: If the machine included a Radeon 9800 Pro you could probably run it. Not at max settings, but it will run.
EDIT: If you are talking about these:

I dont see anything about a 3D accelerator on them.
And believe me, if they had 3D acceleration, they would advertise it.
So I think you need to upgrade your choice and get a Pro.

Incidentally, if you fancy yourself a hardcore mac lover (which is just a guess) you probably shouldnt even be worried about gaming performance. You should concern yourself with all the other features that make you like it.

Along those lines:
Why the hell do you want a mac?

You used to be able to buy low-end iBooks and PowerBooks with basic 3D cards. But looking at the price of a refurb laptop from them, I'd get something brand new for a comparable price.

Booting in Windows, a MacBook with Intel GMA950 integrated graphics could probably handle C-S 1.6 but definitely not C-S:S. I believe the minimum allocation for Windows XP using Boot Camp is 5 GB.
