Considering changing my field...

I've been working as an electronics tech in an engineering department, but it's no longer the job that it used to be. It's almost 100% paperwork and politics. I go home and work on my computer to get some type of enjoyment, but even that's faded. I'm sitting here at work where I've been for an hour and a half already and since I come in earlier than most, I'm thinking about just going home and calling in sick. Just feeling like there's 0 motivation.

Anyone else been here before?

I'm kind of unemployed, so I can't relate. I liked my job back when I was software-engineering...

100% politics and paper pushing is pretty much the reality in any job. Be sure to stock enough disinfectant for your nose, and say goodbye to your sense of smell...
