Considering AC NV Silencer 5 Rev 3 for a XFX 7800GT

I have no idea how loud the stock XFX cooler is, but I assume a small $30 investment in an AC NV Silencer 5 Rev 3 would make it nearly silent.

I have three questions:

1) How difficult is it to take off the stock HSF and install the Silencer?
2) How many slots does the entire videocard + silencer occupy?
3) Should I consider EVGA over XFX because of their better Lifetime warranty?

1) Very easy. The installation process took me about 10-15 minutes.
2) Two slots
3) You should get the eVGA card because installing third party cooling does not void the eVga warranty

I also agree, eVGA cards are great too.

I too agree that Silencer is a great product. I have one on one of my GTX's. I couldnt fit two on with my old motherboard, but just got a new one, with more distance between the PCI-E slots. So I plan to add another to the second card.
