considering a tv tuner

So, I am considering getting a tv tuner for my machine. the problem is i only have 1 PCI slot open that i will be usuing the future. I am thinking about this Theater 550 pro Pci-express x1. Now the 4x slot on my dfi ultra-d is backwards compatable with a 1x card correct? same goes for the second 16x slo aswell, right? i just want to clear this up. thanks
