Gaming will be the primary and most intense use of this computer. Maybe Twitch streaming, but it's not a priority. Currently using an Asus 1080p monitor. Might consider a 1440p for the future.

I don't overclock.

Also don't exactly have a set budget, just prefer best bang for the buck. Usually like to keep it below $1000 when I upgrade, but I'm flexible and I have a few extra things here (gaming controller, Windows 10 OS, heatsink/fan).

Considering the following:
GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070 DirectX 12 GV-N1070G1 GAMING-8GD 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 ATX Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125871&ignorebbr=1 $429.99

G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2800 (PC4 22400) Intel Z170 Platform / Intel X99 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-2800C16D-16GVR
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231949&ignorebbr=1 $66.99

MSI Z170-A PRO LGA 1151 Intel Z170 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130892&ignorebbr=1 $79.99

Intel Core i5-6600K 6M Skylake Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1151 91W BX80662I56600K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 530
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117561&ignorebbr=1 $229.99

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099&ignorebbr=1 $29.99

Microsoft Windows 10 Home - Full Version (32 & 64-bit) / USB Flash Drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832588528&ignorebbr=1 $129.99

Microsoft NG6-00001 Xbox One Controller + Wireless Adapter for Windows 10
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16874103544&ignorebbr=1 $60.29

Already have:
Corsair RM1000x 1000W power supply $129.99 (I know this is overkill, but it seemed like a good deal, it'll likely last a very long time and if I ever do need the extra power, I'll have it.)
Creative Sound Blaster Z soundcard
Asus 1080p MX279H monitor
Logitech 2.1 speakers
V-Moda M100 headphones
Philips Fidelio X1 headphones
Logitech G710+ mechanical keyboard
Logitech G400 mouse
Blue Yeti Microphone
Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB SSD (primary)
SanDisk 240GB SSD (data)
WD Red 4TB (data/media)
WD Blue 640GB (data/media)

What do you all think?

Your PSU is bit of a overkill , and like you said your screen is the odd ball remaining.

Are you overclocking(nevermind you said no)? the Z170 you linked is a very good deal , so not even going to suggest going anything lower but since you going a little bit for bang for buck not 100% sure a 6600K + heatsink is worth it over a 6600. Depends a lot on prices and deals you can make.

Missing SSD/HDD? or am i blind.

I forgot to mention my drives, which I've added. I'm good there.

The 6600 (3.3GHz) is $229.99 at Newegg and comes with a heatsink/fan.

The 6600K (3.5GHz) is also $229.99, but no heatsink/fan, hence I added the Cooler Master for an extra $30. I figured get the 6600K since it's currently $20 off and a little faster, although needing to get a heatsink/fan does add to the cost. On the other hand, if the Cooler Master is compatible with future CPU sockets, it'll carry over for future builds and it's better quality than the stock heatsink/fan. Maybe the extra $30 isn't worth it since I don't plan to overclock?

Actually just realized I could get:
Intel Xeon E3-1225 v5 SkyLake 3.3 GHz 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1151 80W BX80662E31225V5 Server Processor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117612&ignorebbr=1 $234.99

I currently use a Xeon in my gaming PC and it works just fine. Now I'm thinking the Xeon may be the way to go as it includes a heatsink/fan and is probably a little better than the i5 6600 for about the same cost.

With Skylake, Intel requires Xeons to have their own special chipset. So you'd need a different board for a Xeon. I'm not sure if it allows overclocking the RAM either.

He has the PSU all ready, and a lot of other things, so it's irrelevant.

Looks like a pretty nice build to me at any rate.

I've never used a 6600K myself, still running an old X5680 at 4.5 on the main rig, but the 6600K's OC very well from everything I've read.

Even nice if you do not overclock, I'm sure.

What I would buy if I were building myself atm.

I'm an ASUS mobo fanboi, so might splurge a bit more there, other than that looks like something I'd build myself at any rate.

Learned something new.

Sounds like everyone is agreeable for the most part.
