Apparently, Starr has a strangely protective attitude toward molesters and rapists, even when he isn't being paid big money to defend them. A few years after his crusade on Epstein's behalf, he and his wife sent a letter to a county judge urging leniency for Christopher Kloman, a retired school administrator and friend of the Starrs who pled guilty to molesting five girls at the Potomac School in McLean, Virginia. They thought he should be sentenced to community service, but the judge instead gave him 43 years in prison.

One of the problems people who hate themselves have is a temptation to act out in hateful ways to have hate come at them they can then pretend they don't feel. Trump is an asshole for this reason and Starr also managed to turn himself into one of the most hated persons in America. He will be psychologically impelled to take on bigger and bigger anchors to satisfy that inner denial. He is caught in the soul destroying need to be a prick.

Which brings me to a related topic. One of the best ways there is to actualize self hate is to become a pedophile. The desire to murder them is practically irrepressible which is exactly what drives them to that behavior. They need to manifest their inner self contempt and we happily supply them with assurance of success.

There is no way to do it that I can see, but it would be better, in my opinion, if people were enlightened enough to offer those with this form of mental illness, not jail time and contempt, but therapy and the wide spread societal recognition these people have a disease that craves our contempt. It would not work without it, in my opinion. These are all people, in my opinion who want sex with children because they feel inadequate to satisfy a normal adult. They fear being judged inadequate because it is how they inwardly feel. Cure that feeling and I think this form of mental illness would go away. But it is very very hard to cure much less be aware we all suffer to some degree from it.
