Conservatives Leading in Canada

With election day only 9 days away, the Liberals who have ruled for 12 years, have decided to go negative.

They are coming out swinging, still without a platform; hoping to scare their way to power once again. The polls indicate the Liberals will lose every province in the country, and the Conservatives have gained 10% nationally and 12% in Quebec since the start of the campaign.

The Conservatives have stuck to the issues, and now have shown to Canadians they are ready to govern and finally end the Liberal stranglehold on power.

The most recent poll:
Canada Decided Voters (Tracking ended January 10, 2006)
CP 39% (+10)
LIB 30% (-7)
NDP 16% (+1)
BQ 12% (-2)
GP 4 (-1)

In Quebec
BQ 50% (NC)
CP 21% (+12)
LIB 18% (-12)
NDP 8% (+2)
GP 3% (-3)

Outside Quebec
CP 44% (+7)
LIB 33% (-6)
NDP 18% (-1)
GP 4% (NC)

Go Conservatives!!😀

Are they still flip-flopped? I remember a few years back the Liberals had become conservative and vice-versa.

In other news, the levels of unrest in Djibouti have recently declined, mostly because of the fact that the growing season is now happening.

Liberals here are considered fiscally conservative...because they've had 8 surplus budgets, have been known to cut taxes time to time, but compared to the US we have 40% of our gdp taxed, compared to the US's 20% and we don't spend on our military! Although healthcare is in there, overall not conservative imo.

After I help to get your net going again! psh!!

I don't want to believe the current polls. While I don't care if it's a Liberal or Conservative minority government, I don't want that idiot Steve Harper as PM. And I know there are plenty of other people who feel the same way about Harper.

Personally, I don't really care which group of corrupt middle aged a$$holes screws over this country next. Of course, that's just me. 🙂

I would love to see the Conservatives in, raising taxes, increasing spending, increasing the debt, making Canada into America Jr, sending our troops to Iran and Syria, and then watch the economy go to crap. Of course I'm also planning on leaving the country for grad school so you all can be left to your own devices.

Ya, about 30% of them...too bad 39% is higher 😉

Uh huh...
Why are the conservatives going to raise taxes and increase spending/debt.

We could use some tighter relations with the US on softwood, beef, etc

so, when the DOW reaches 11,000 again, the economy goes to 'crap'?

if it dipped to 5,000, would you be happy? or only if it went to 20,000?

I'm hoping for a Conservative majority. I'm not the strongest conservative supporter, but I think the liberals need the boot for a while. Keeps them in check.

Not sure what everyone's problem is w/ Harper, unless they've bought in to the whole negative add compaign that the Liberals are using.

They won't raise taxes, but i'll bet they'll increase spending and create a bigger deficit. I actually wouldn't mind if it was money spent on the military, but i'll bet you it'll be done half-assed, and they'll just increase the military, and not actually make it better.

I really would have voted for the Conservatives if it was anybody but Stephen Harper (will not anybody. Stockwell was an even bigger moron), like Belinda.
