While all the facts presented there are liberal lies, I wonder if anything at all of reality can be seen by conservatives. I find it fascinating that the recent budget passed with something like 162 to 68 Republican votes which would indicate to me that conservative denial has its limits. How did it come to pass that the Republican total refusal to negotiate exploded in Republican faces and a schism of such proportions emerged, with the lunatic right losing in a major reversal of past policy even in their own party. What do you suppose it is that causes conservatives to face reality they've denied for so long. Is there any hope for the extreme of the extreme, that they too may be able to see or do we write them off as brain dead.

My guess is that when conservative denial based on unpleasant reality creates a reality that is even more painful, the old reality bubble dissolves into something new. Sadly, that's an awful lot of shit to have to eat before reality crashes in. Maybe conservatives should start working on ways to help themselves. You know what I mean. They are already very good at helping themselves, but I mean real help, not just ego greed.

There is nothing wrong with your analysis except that you want to focus on some fault you can find in me to help deny the truth I tell you. She loved me and was a deep conservative in denial of many things. I spoke at her memorial to many Republican women as she was an official of a large Republican women's club about the strength of character she imparted to me, the fact that despite all our differences she still loved this liberal. If you can be loved by a conservative of her dimension, you know you're OK. She was so sure of her truth she made me a believer. Sometimes still when the phone rings I jump thinking she needs me.
