Misleading thread title much? The article says she left. Getting knocked off the air implies she did not go willingly - something the article does not state.

In these situations the news articles never really tell the whole story of what is going on. But there's clearly a trend showing issues with the conservative talk radio industry -- this is the second major host to split with TRN in a few months.

On a political board I run, there's a good write-up on this general issue from someone who works in the media.

To Dave's point, I have heard that some radio stations are dropping political type talk shows and moving to sports-type shows. IIRC, the reason is that sports-type shows are not controversial and cause less problems with sponsors. Whether the content is Left or Right, as soon as some talking head makes a controversial statement (E.g., Ingraham is a slut, Sandra Fluke is a slut etc.) it causes headaches for station management with the (local) customers they sell adverting to.

I fail to see any reason for conservative outrage here as no censorship can I see.

As radio stations across the nation can hire any idiot to host their radio station's format. But if the host they hire does not appeal to enough listeners, and bring on enough sponsors to make the radio Station turn a profit, any rational radio Station will search for some other host to appeal to more listeners.

Wow oh wow, some conservative radio commenter appeals to only 5.75 million people nationwide, it means only one in a 100 listeners will stay tuned into their station. As the super conservative tea party idiot market will support only support only a few such commentators. Rush is likely to survive, but not every wanna bee idiot. As the market niche is already over saturated as the advertisers that make pay for over the air radio are voting with their feet.

In short the American free market in action. The American people have spoken in the election of 11/2012, and now American advertisers have listened.

It would be a wet dream if Levin, Hannity and Rush got knocked off but sadly like you said they most likely will survive.

Can still hope that maybe Levin will get knocked off.

I love how Levin gets at the Libs. So long as he's still broadcasting, this country has a chance of educating the populace with the founder's original intent and values.

Methinks Annisman confuses education with indoctrination. As its a rather long stretch to pretend Levin had any understanding of our founding fathers intentions and thinking.

But as long as Rupert Murdock pays for Levin's soap box, Rupert will make sure Levin's ideas are not honestly debated.

Didn't think this deserved it's own thread but it would also be an orgasm if Fox got knocked off the air.

Look at the crap today, a woman anchor scared herself from the Fox Fake News Alert:

Animated breaking news alert scares Fox News host

When a television news network needs to interrupt programming with breaking news, the alert animation is not supposed to scare the host more than the actual news.

But that's what happened, and now video of Fox News host Megyn Kelly's reaction is getting attention.

The segment on the "fiscal cliff" began with a brand-new breaking news alert graphic.

After it appeared, the "America Live" anchor was shown with her hands over her mouth looking surprised, and not in a good way.

She then burst into giggles. "That was a new alert animation, scared me a little bit," she said. "Maybe we should be scared, because the clock is ticking down right now to the so-called fiscal cliff."

Kelly was so distracted by the animation onslaught, she actually asked her guest, Fox News editor Chris Stirewalt, about it. "So, did you think of that alert, did it scare you?"

"I was really frightened. I thought something really, really bad was happening instead of just the standard badness." "It's terrifying!" Kelly responded, laughing again.

Where do you get that Murdoch backs Levin? Let alone shields him?

Levin just (Nov. 10th) criticized Murdoch for having "radicalism" on amnesty.

Goodness, get a grip. You're damn right this didn't need its own thread, let alone a post.

I think I told you this before, but Rush has owned his own broadcasting company for a long time. Rush is the only one who can knock Rush off the air. And I know it is your wet little dream to silence the opposition but instead you should learn to back your own point of views once in a while.

The country backed my points of view a couple of weeks ago.

The Messiah is still President and you Republicans can't lick your wounds fast enough.
