Isn't this exactly how Obama got here? I think a little speech at the DNC in 2004?? You lib's still can't even admit that that @sshat doesn't know what he is doing after 4 years! Other than that, I agree with your statement. Now, if we do get to know the good doctor and he is for real, who know.

The hypocrisy is stunning, obama made a speech and he didn't even offer real ideas such as a flat/fair tax or cutting spending, No he just spouted out rhetoric and the usual talking points and the lapdogs jumped all over it. This guy has actually offered real solutions and spoke out against obama and for that certain people would rather bash this man, Pathetic

People are not assigning enough significance to altering the tax system. Everyone is to blame for that. It gets backburnered specifically because it leads to the IRS being abolished. (There is no need for an IRS with a fair tax, it is too simple.) And the lobbyists all hate tax reform because they make their bread and butter off the buying and selling of tax breaks. It is going to take a razor sharp focus to punch through on this issue and get real tax reform. Both parties are obviously far too compromised to ever get it done, so they must both be defeated.

Conservative movement is literally the Scientology of politics, who cares what nonsense cult babble about how pissed they are about the black man in the white house? They live in their own conspiracy world/echo chamber.

The op is a perfect example of the uselessness of conservatism except to spew think tank corporate narratives. Might as well argue over daytime soap opera dramas. Not clicking..srz

Hey the circle jerk thread is in another forum not here.

The fact this guy used valuable time in front of President to go on a rant about political correctness strikes me as toolish.

As far as the rest of it big wup a conservative speaks out against Obama, breaking news.

I would be more interested in his scientific evidence as to when life begins, since he is a doctor. Scientific not religious.

I wonder why the author felt the doctor being black is relevant. Oh well I guess it just makes him feel good

Not toolish at all, He spoke the truth and obama knew it since the reaction on his face clearly showed it.

Being black is relevant because black Conservatives are vicously attacked and labeled as sellouts. This guy can actually think for himself and not just listen to a party and is a Conservative so its important to note.

In his speech he destroyed obama and obamacare, he offered a real solution that would actually help Americans

Actually the IRS might end up busier with a "Fair Tax". One of the biggest things that the IRS does is audit companies that improperly collect taxes as income. And the "Fair Tax" is probably the most regressive idea in taxation ever created and would pretty much guarantee a decrease in tax revenue while creating the largest tax burden on the middle class of all groups and significantly decreasing the tax burden on the rich.

our debt as the biggest threat to national security is a joke.

The biggest threat to national security is our lobby corrupted government.
decades go by without problems being addressed and government kicks the can until the next election cycle.

I discount everything said after "Prayer breakfast"

This ^^^.

How would people who can't save to begin with save for healthcare?
Penalize them using the IRS and takeaway any tax refund they might get, that will teach them for being lazy and not having health insurance.

He doesn't know a hell of alot about economics either.

Really, from what I've read of Krugman's economic views, he's been shown to usually be completely right. Against Bush tax cuts as they unduly favor the rich and add to the deficit while doing almost nothing to stimulate the economy, proven 100% correct. Criticized Greenspan back in 05 for failing to regulate mortgage and financial markets, proven 100% correct. Criticized Obama for the stimulus being too small, proven correct. I'm sure some of his economic views have faults, but he certainly has been proven very correct in many of his views.

Here is Allen West addressing the issue, There is an unwritten rule that black men cant criticize obama and Dr.Carson bravely spoke out against him. I have tremendous respect for this great man :D

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/201...ten-rule-that-black-men-cant-criticize-obama/

But if you go back to September of 2012, there was the chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, Emanuel Cleaver, who gave an incredible statement saying that if anyone else were in the White House other than President Obama, that they would be marching on the White House, and that the President Obama knows that he is given a deference that would not be given to a white president. And we were talking about the incredible 14 percent unemployment rate in the black community. And I think that we cannot continue to go on believing that all we can do is ask the president what his favorite color is and continue to have these softball interviews. We have to start talking about the policies that are failing this country, and I think Dr. Carson — hat tip to him for having that platform, being able to challenge those policies.

Article clearly sums up the hypocrisy

An example..

propose a flat tax..and a tax loophole, that would benefit him financially, as a doctor, tax-free medical savings accounts.

And this is supposed to be taken seriously ?

Haha. This was exactly what I thought it was. Your bigotry coming out again. You seem to have assigned significance to the fact that he is black...as if that matters... Then you make up a bunch of malarkey about how blacks can't criticize obama... Umm, no. That is something that you've made up in your head...

Allen West is a piece of shit, why anyone would care about anything he has or will say is a mystery. No surprise that he's a rightwing puppet.

Black people are still waiting for this awesome Republican plan to create good jobs for black Americans. Where is it? It certainly wasn't GWB's plan.

His views arent meaningless, He is at least willing to talk about the debt and bring up serious discussion. The debt is the biggest national security threat to the US, it must be taken down.

The guy is a doctor and a neurosurgeon. obama gave an appropriate response? He completely disrespected him and ignore him because he was challenged on his ideas and he couldn't handle it. Try to show some respect for Dr.Carson.

Doctor and neurosurgeon? If he wants automatic respect he should be speaking at medical conferences, not a prayer breakfast.

Respect is earned, not given. Babbling on and on about various subjects with no supporting evidence or substantiation is hardly "respect-inducing". You simply demand respect because A)Dr. Carson is conservative, and B) in your eyes "he put Obama in his place". And you're hardly a judge on what Obama (or anyone else) can "handle".

Someone gave me a couple of Dr. Carson's books a while back and I read them both. One was decent (his autobiography of how he grew up in poverty to become a neurosurgeon) but the more recent one (Take The Risk) is where he espouses his political ideas towards the end. Some of his proposals:

-Require all gamblers to use a "gambling card" with a limit based on personal income
-Get rid of the national monetary system and replace it with a single biometric (retinal/fingerprint) system where you do all of your transactions.
-Reaffirm America as the world police and a Christian society

He may be a good doctor but his political views will only make him a darling of the GOP.
