Conroes from Dell

Dell often has sales on P4 computers for around $400. Is it pretty likely that low-end Conroe based rigs will come in at the same price or are they going to go up to $500-600 when Conroe drops? Anyone have any ideas?

Highly unlikely. They are clearing inventory of P4's because there is little reason to buy one if there is a similar Conroe system at a similar price. Thus we will be seeing lots of Pentium-D and P4 systems for very very cheap, especially when Conroe system will be offered.
