Wiil using DDR2 with the new Conroe cpu offer any real benefits over resuing my high quality DDR ram? Got a couple of good PC3200 sticks from Corsair and there is an Asrock mobo that lets you use either one. I had been thinking about getting some DDR2 800 but now I just dont know. Any advice?

Are you sure that ASRock motherboard supports Conroe? I really doubt you can use DDR...

DDR2 will be a benefit, because the Via chipsets are TERRIBLE performers, and using DDR2 allows you to use a decent board/chipset.
