Connections limits with MS IIS?

Does anyone know how many connections a 1GHz IIS webserver with 512MB RAM, or maybe 1024MB RAM, can/should handle?

somewhere over at microsofts site they have a web traffic simulator that puts a virtual load on your server to show how it responds... you should be able to run it on there and it will give you a good idea of what it can handle..... unfortuately I do not have a link, but a search or two (or three knowing MS) should turn it up.
