Connection Troubles... Help Please...

A while ago someone had deleted the setting for my internet connection and I had managed to get them back but now I can't do things like connect to servers to play online games, connect to and irc programs or I can't do things like windows update because it says there is no internet connection. I was having none of these problems before the setting were original but I can't do any of this stuff. I have also have a router hooked up to it but I know thats not the problem because it does it without the router hooked up.Can anyone please help me?
 
I suggest that you call your ISP's tech support for help.

Also, to make your posts easier to read, I would suggest inserting punctuation in your sentences. That's one hell of a runon. :Q
