Hey peeps, I just recently got DSL for my comp, and I use it alot, I was wondering how I would go about connecting another computer so they would both be hooked up to the same DSL connection so other people can use the internet too. What hardware/software would this involve? If I remember correctly I would need to get a router to get this accomplished? Any info/links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A simple cable/DSL router would suffice. Searches can find reviews. Or you can put a second network card in your computer and use Internet Connection Sharing to allow the other computer to access it.

You can find a cable/DSL router with 4 ports for computers on your LAN for around $50 or less. The router will generally also provide a packet filtering firewall (which is enough reason to get it even with only one computer IMO), NAT, and DHCP. Basically, all you have to do is plug the WAN port into the cable/DSL modem and plug your computers into some of the other four ports.
