Connection issues with Windows 2003

Server running Windows 2003
D-link 7 port router
D-link 8 port switch
Dell 400SC

Once or twice a week, i'll lose my connection to the server and then have to restart my router or switch just to get connected. Sometimes, I even have to do a shutdown by pressing the power switch.

Any ideas?
 
So you're saying that you cant even ping across the router or switch? Sounds like one of them are bad.

No point troubleshooting a software issue if your hardware isnt working 😉
 
I'll check that when I get home and reply to this thread after I verify I can or cannot ping the router.
