Connection going in and out...

For the past few weeks I've been experiencing severe connection issues. Occasionally I'll have moments of unresposive or extremely slow connection speed, but it's been getting a lot worse. I don't know what to do. We just bought a new modem 2 months ago.


This only affects my desktop PC, not my mothers laptop. Perhaps a virus or malware cookies are taking up connection packets??


Pardon my idiocy, I'm technologically inept. 😀

I have Cox and had a similar problem. My connection would go in and out and it progressively got worse.

I called up Cox and they set a tech out the next day. He checked the signal coming into the house via our cable box and it was very low. He decided to run a new line from the pole to the house. He found some chew on the line and thinks that was the problem.

Everything has been perfect with the new line.
