connection between IE and CD drive?

Why is it that everytime I openup my IE my CD drive starts scanning the drive eventhough there is no CD in the drive in my laptop running WinXP. Any suggestions?:disgust:
 
I get that same thing too with the computers at work. It's the floppy drives though 😛 I've found that it usually happens when I visit a M$ site...damn them :Q
