I bought a VGA-to-RCA/S-video adapter from CyberGuys. It was only 2 bucks. I figured it was worth a shot, especially since that 'box' from CircuitCity or BestBuy to connect an XBox to PC monitor is almost 50 dollars.
Anyways, I connected everything up, but it didn't work. I know the XBox is fine, I have been using it on a TV for 2 weeks now. I now my PC monitor is fine, I have been using it for over 2 years. The only thing it could be is the VGA-to-RCA/S-video adapter.
I'm not exactly sure on how I should go about testing it. I connected the S-video end to my S-video out and connected the VGA end to my monitor. That didnt work. Thats the only way I oculd think of to test it. To connect my Xbox to it, I used the RCA end.
Since its a "VGA-to-RCA/S-video, do you think it is only "one-way"??
Could there be an impedance issue?
Maybe I need to amplify the signal from the XBox so my monitor can recognize it?
(the monitor does not recognize any signal when it is connected to the XBox)
Anyone else hook up a console to their PC monitor??
Thanks
